Traffic Annoyances --- No Left Turn

---------------------------No Left Turn-------------------------------

It seems pretty straight forward. It's a sign with an arrow on it pointing to the left with a red circle with a line through it. Generally located at intersections with a high flow of traffic and no left turn signal. If you stop to turn left and wait for on-coming traffic, it backs up all the traffic behind you trying to get through the light. It's not rocket science... and yet it seems like there isn't a person on the streets who actually pays any attention to the sign at all.

I see this literally every day on my way to or from work. Often at some of the most inconvenient of intersections. And the real kicker is that no one enforces these signs, so there is no reason for people not to ignore them! I have seen a car hold up traffic while a cop is one of the people having to wait for the person trying to turn left. In fact, I've seen a cop do this himself! Although, it's kind of unfair to lump them into the same category because who knows his reason for doing it. He might have gotten a domestic violence call and needed to turn immediately, or maybe he just feels that since he's the enforcer of the law, he can break or bend the rules when it suits him... who knows?

I'm not really sure why the BMV bothers to make people take a test to get their driver's license. It's like any test you have ever taken in school. The minute the test is over and you get your passing grade, you forget everything that was on it. Although some things are just common sense. I'm not sure if it's lack of common sense or the simple fact that no one cares about anyone but themselves anymore.

Gossip Girl

And no... I'm not talking about the television show. I'm talking about those girls whose lives are so drab that they feel the need to dig their claws in others lives to make theirs more exciting. They may be sweet and even fun to be around, but it's the aftermath that gets you. I went to a party at my ex's house this weekend. Apparently my ex and someone I am acquainted with got to talking about one thing or another, including whether or not we were going to get back together. I'm pretty sure the product of that conversation was that it wasn't really anyone's business but ours and that we were still friends and that was it.

The day after the party, a mutual friend called my ex and said I heard you guys were working on your relationship. After asking who it was that told her that, we were able to decipher who the gossip girl was. And apparently our mutual friend is not the only person this rumor is making it to because a couple days later my ex spoke to someone else who said the same thing.

Seriously people. I'm sorry that your lives are pathetic and boring. I'm sorry if you don't have any exciting news of your own to be spreading around, but do you really need to go spreading rumors about other people? Especially when you don't even know what is going on and the rumors you are spreading aren't even true? This is a huge pet peeve of mine. I can't stand being the topic of another person's conversation. I do my best to be a low maintenance person and lay low. I don't talk about others, I don't get into drama, and I don't go looking for any trouble. All I ask is to be left alone and left to my own business. I wish people would learn to just mind their own business!

Why You Trippin'??

What is it about dogs and the need they feel to park themselves right under your feet? My dog is awesome and I love him to pieces, but sometimes his need to walk around with me gets on my nerves because he doesn't walk by my side, he gets in front of me and slows down and I have to push him with my feet out of the way or trip all over him!! I get that you are loyal, I get that you love me, but REALLY? My house isn't that big... if I go to the kitchen I'm still just right there. Haha
